Headed Outback at Last!
Yesterday we arrived at Lake Hart. Next to the campground there was a salt lake. There were so many salt crystals all over the ground. There was a little island made out of salt crystals. Micah and I walked over to the island and got our socks and shoes completely wet. It was awesome!
Hey Jem, here's a new word for you - HYGROSCOPIC. It means a substance that absorbs moisture from the air. That's what salt is and that's why you shoes and socks got sopping wet. I can see in the picture that your hand was wet too when you were holding the ball of salt. Neat hey?
